3. Authentication & Session Cookies
These cookies keep you signed in and your session secure. They are set as HTTP-only (not readable by page scripts) and are strictly necessary for the platform to function — without them, you couldn't stay logged in.

4. Sign-In (OAuth) State Cookies
When you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or ORIS, we set a short-lived, one-time cookie to verify that the sign-in redirect actually came from you (protecting the login flow from forgery). It is deleted once the sign-in completes.

5. Locally Stored Preferences
Your light/dark mode preference is remembered using your browser's local storage, not a cookie — it stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. We do not currently support multiple display languages.
